Symposium
Once you leave traditional event venues, you encounter a broad and unpredictable audience. What kinds of texts work for chance encounters? What style of writing encourages participation? Which themes are suitable for open spaces?
Building on the morning’s discussion, we will present examples of literary interventions in public spaces and explore the possibilities of literature beyond the book cover. The workshop serves as an interface to the session Veranstalten im öffentlichen Raum.
After 45 minutes, participants are free to switch rooms.
The discussion will be conducted in English. However, we are happy to support each other with any language barriers.
Accessibility Information
The workshop rooms on the first floor are accessible via stairs or elevator. An accessible restroom is located on the same floor. All rooms are equipped with bean bags and designated spaces for wheelchair users.
The atmosphere is relaxed: you are welcome to enter or leave the rooms at any time. Quiet participation is perfectly fine – there is no pressure to ask questions or join the discussion. We support each other with language barriers and will help each other find the right words.
We use name tags, and a quiet room is available throughout the entire symposium. Assistance dogs are welcome. FFP2 masks are provided at the registration desk. Drinks and snacks will be available.
